Indiana Drug Bust: 40 Pounds of Meth Found Hidden in Cheetos Bags

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Law enforcement officers in Evansville, Indiana, uncovered a 40-pound shipment of methamphetamine cleverly concealed inside Cheetos bags, leading to the arrest of two individuals from California.

The Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force was alerted on March 5 about two suspicious packages at a local delivery facility. The parcels, addressed to a residence in the 1800 block of Ridgeway Avenue, near Covert and South Weinbach avenues, raised red flags. Upon further inspection, an officer discovered meth hidden inside snack bags within the packages.

Suspects Attempt to Flee, Crash into Deputy’s Vehicle

As officers conducted surveillance on the targeted residence, a white van arrived, and two individuals retrieved the packages. Detectives, in marked law enforcement vehicles, attempted to stop the suspects, but they tried to flee, ultimately crashing into a deputy’s car.

Authorities quickly subdued the suspects, identified as Goldie Flenor, 36, and Natasha Garner, 46, both from Los Angeles, California. Following the arrest, officers safely secured the methamphetamine shipment and took the suspects into custody without further incident.

Facing Federal Drug Charges

Flenor and Garner were both charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, a serious federal offense. Investigators are now working to determine the full scope of their trafficking network and whether others were involved in the operation.

This high-stakes drug seizure highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to intercept narcotics before they reach communities. The case remains under investigation as officials pursue additional leads in dismantling drug trafficking operations in the region.
